There's a pop song that always brings a smile to my face. It's by someone very popular now; could be Katy Perry, or someone like that. The refrain is "Say what you want to say. . . Just let the words fall out. . . I want to see you be brave." What an anti-introvert song! It makes me laugh, because I fill in the word, "stupid" for brave. Most folks who say what they want to say and let the words fall out are just plain stupid, not brave!!! The song makes me laugh, though. The singer must be an extrovert.

There's a song I've been listening to an awful lot recently, well two actually. The first one comes from an artist I'm half-hearted about usually, but this particular song is very well written lyric wise I think. Having run into serious problems with family over a period, it's proven a useful recluse and a reminder to look upwards. There's certain lines in the song that I really abide by and serves as a fantastic reminder.

On a personal note, if anyone reading this is feeling glum and beaten down, have a listen to this and pay attention to the lyrics. I find it really helps!

The second song comes from a Disney film; Oliver and Company. I've always loved this song, it's very definitive in how dreams can come true, how things start small and that you can make it in the big-bad-world. It's called 'Once Upon a Time in New York City.' People who've seen the film should recognise this.

Leadbelly and Hoagy Carmichael on box sets just received. As for introverted musicians I can think Of:- John Fahey, Al 'Blind Owl' Wilson of Canned Heat, Béla Bartok, Brian Eno and Delia Derbyshire. All of whose work I enjoy.

I'm listening to the sound of my fingers hit the keys on my isolated keyboard, echoing in the emptiness of my dimly lit corner of what I call my life. While listening to 'Video Games' by Lana Del Rey, and crying, missing my girlfriend whom left me because she "needs to achieve more in life than level 110 in World of Warcraft". I shot up some virtual fireworks when I reached level 110 but she remained unimpressed, and she's gone, replaced by the occasional shadow from the corner of my eye that sets my heart racing, mistakenly thinking she came back.
