He has a very large number of custom 1911 pattern handguns, including some he's had blank converted (barrel has to have all the locking stuff ground off and a little plug with a hole in it put in the barrel so there'll be enough pressure for it to cycle) just so he can have a gun he's used to

Last movie I watched was American Hustle, but got bored

Segal's hands are really big so that's probably the only way he can shoot consistently.

Seagal is so fat and slow these days that they have to slow down the camera speed and tightly edit the fight scenes to make them half-ways watchable. Apparently he's a pretty good blues guitarist, though.

I saw The Gunman on cable recently. The critics didn't like it but I thought it was OK.

Warcraft isn't as bad as the critics make out, but I wouldn't exactly recommend it. It stars Travis Fimmel, from Vikings.

Interstellar.

There is a strange pattern in all my favourite films...they all involve space or space travel. Think about it. When was the last time you watched a movie about space that wasn't any good?

Space is pretty cool, can imagine I'd be more into it if I didn't live right by NASA and was therefore surrounded by that kind of stuff (hey, I even work out in a former NASA engineer's garage!)

Just saw Bastille Day, an ok French crime thriller starring the charismatic Idris Elba.

Mr Holmes imagines a retired and very old Sherlock Holmes revisiting his last case. A surprisingly thoughtful and enjoyable movie about lonely people.

City of God. I was told it was supposed to be kind of heavy, not really for me though. It was a good watch but it was not really all that entertaining, a bit interesting only,
Why does it has to be that way?

OMG! I so want to watch West World, but don't have Sky Atlantic (UK-based). I've been waiting for it to come out so I can find a good copy online.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is quite entertaining, but not as good as the critics would have us believe.

Good movie!

I love how it was ripped off by a bunch of action movies in the later part of the 80's, taking a lot of the cowboy cop-ish elements but conveniently forgetting that the movie lays out how all that fast and loose stuff got the main character shot in the face with a shotgun

Saw The Accountant earlier, was solid but not particularly memorable. Strong gunplay, though, and the aspect of having an autistic main character is played on nicely a few times. I also particularly enjoyed how it seems that maybe the director or whoever watched some LiveLeak videos of people getting shot, because a few times I noticed that the reactions were spot on (if you see it, watch for the guy shot in the head while exiting the big house in the climax, when the baddies go to engage Affleck outside through the front door)

The hit Korean zombie movie Train to Busan is fun. I also like the Korean spy movie, Age of Shadows.

Saw Arrival last week. Very interesting.
