I like it, and it reminded me of these Three Mile Pilot songs.

TV on the Radio - Love Dog

Sharks Keep Moving - Jets Jet Which was on the old forum and is still the most chill song about a plane crash in history.

Stars of the Lid - and their refinement of the decline

I wouldn't really call it melancholic, but you'll probably like it.

Edit:

If you like this song you should consider listening to the whole album. Like Steve Albini said, this album wont just change your perception of music, it is a life-changing album. One of the best of all time.

Sad Songs

Postby MrCawfle » Sat Jul 11, 2015 3:51 pm

I'm a kinda-sewer of sad songs. I consider bittersweet songs to work in this category, by the way. Here's one that haunts me frequently. Funny but it's a tune from the Irish cannon that comes from the U.S.

You can't beat Zen Garden for melancholy, and there is an hour of it.

If the truth hurts, you ain't livin' right.

I love Gymnopedie No. 1. The Isaac Stern version will give you goose bumps!

Words, by The Christians, is actually a traditional Irish tune. An orchestral version was featured in Stanley Kubrick's movie, Barry Lyndon.

If the truth hurts, you ain't livin' right.

This is the thread I have been missing all my life.
Not really sure if they are melancholic but these always get me.

Why does it has to be that way?
