I'm less fussed about paintings and dancing as art-forms though I can see the benefits in both. I'm not sure how to take most dancing though but the more I've observed it, the more I can understand. With painting, it really has to depend on the type of painting. I get bored looking at pictures of say grassy fields or a random village house for example, but I can find something interesting in pictures with people in them. I favour film and music as an art-form though; I have very definitive ideas of what I like and don't in both. In film, there's a second category in animation; both anime and western animation. Films can be very good at capturing real-life situations and ideas, and animation can be very good at capturing the imagination itself (though neither are mutually exclusive.) I find when watching films and listening to music that I take off to a completely different realm entirely, and when I'm in the process of creating both, I often find myself blissfully unaware of my surroundings!
