Discuss what you're currently reading.

I'm about halfway through King Lear. Although it doesn't surpass Othello for me, it's enjoyable. Planning on reading Mrs. Dalloway next.

I have just finished a book called In the Midst of Life. It is about nursing and death. I actually found it really interesting.

Jeyn Roberts - Dark Inside

It's about people who suddenly become killers and a group of teenagers who need to survive! Something like the hunger games. Very enjoyable :)

I actually don't read a lot of books. I mostly read online. I've only bought and read a couple books my whole life. I suppose reading online isn't all that different right? just on a screen instead of a paper hard copy

I don't really read, either. Words on paper are harder for me to see/focus on than words on the computer. I like the computer because I can enlarge the text and break it up so my eyes can focus.

I haven't read any books online or anything, though; I mostly just do research.

Sara Gruen - Water For Elephants
I wanted to know what all the fuss around this book is about. The first half was really enjoyable then it turned out to be horribly cheesy.

I have half a dozen articles on the concepts of the shadow self and enantiodromia, and might grab a book. I had a really great idea for a short fantasy novel that makes use of these concepts, because I've had a lot of fun with them myself.

I'm currently reading The Sunne in Splendour (about Richard III) by Sharon Kay Penman. It's the only one of her books I haven't read.

I'm just finishing two of Jean Plaidy's books about Lucrezia Borgia. Her brother Cesare - brilliantly portrayed in the recent TV series - was the brother from hell. Murdered his younger brother, took his youngest brother's wife as his mistress, murdered his sister's lover, tried to murder her first husband, murdered her second husband, lusted after her, and had hundreds of others poisoned or stabbed. Oh, and he was a cardinal.

I've read a few of her books. For Historical fiction have you read any of Philippa Gregory books?

Yes, that's how I got started on European historical fiction. I've read all the Wars of the Roses books and all the Tudors books except the latest one.

I'll check her out. Katherine, by Anya Seton, is brilliant. I saw Katherine Swynford's tomb at Lincoln Cathedral last year.
