A new topic to discuss pets!

Do you have pets? What are they? If you don't is there a reason?

I currently have two gerbils called The Evil One and The Grey One with Red Eyes plus three guinea pigs called Kasper, Uno and Quinn.

They are like my best friends.

Forgot to add that Uno is the long haired one, Kasper is white and Quinn is brown/grey.
I don't like seagulls...

Depression Cat is like that, since he's really "pretty" and doesn't want anyone to touch him

Our household has too many cats to count, but I would consider one particular cat 'mine' (even though he has his phases of wanting attention from me and not... typical cat  ). We call him 'Whiskers' but is also known as 'teddy-bear' as well for being a big softy, but literally grumpy as hell as well whilst sitting and standing all proud.

We don't currently have any pets. The reason is that we are away a lot and don't want to be burdened with the responsibility. When I was younger, my brother used to have a dog and he pawned the responsibility of its care off onto my mother, which was predictable I might add. I enjoyed taking the dog out myself on occasion and used to do it semi-regularly but was always glad I could walk away without concern.

I find it interesting that the majority of pets mentioned here are cats - low maintenance and don't need to be entertained much. I'm guessing that has something to do with Introversion.

I posted a saying here not too long ago which correlates to this:

Cats are to introversion as dogs are to extraversion.

I remember reading a quote like that somewhere where they basically describe how cats are quiet creatures whereby they keep to and look after themselves, needing only limited contact with one another. Introversion is similar to that, in that introverts tend to look after themselves, don't need extensive contact with other people. Dogs, however, love to socialise big-time, they need attention. So do extraverts, they can't sit around without socialising with other people, they'll get bored and irritated quite quickly.

Just a tarantula. Work has me travel too much to take care of anything. And there's no wife to hold down the fort or greet me when I come home I might add!

Does it know any tricks? You should teach it to terrorize guests
