Girls too sensitive to explain certain things?

Postby scott85 » Tue Feb 24, 2015 6:18 pm

just had a realization. this is 1 of those things I knew, but sometimes you have to be told to really think about it, I guess

so on another forum, I've been posting about basically the same stuff on here.

one of my topics was apparently coming off as too serious.. this one guy said "whoa easy there, I had a hard time reading this, and girls are even more sensitive"

then it hit me, how can I explain my self, or even certain things, if (some?) girls are too sensitive to even handle it?

it's like we're supposed to keep things simple.. but it seems to the point things will never be fully explained.. just forever confused..

A lot of introverts come off as 'serious' at the best of times. It's one of those labels that gets thrown around yet mean little when you really get down to it. When introverts really question and delve deep into things like you're doing, then it isn't that uncommon to be told 'stop being so serious!' It's a demeaning expression and undermines the intellect of the person doing the questionning.

then it hit me, how can I explain my self, or even certain things, if (some?) girls are too sensitive to even handle it?

I think the best way of answering that is by saying most people you'll ever meet, boy and girl alike, will find this kind of discussion with you over-baring because one, they don't know you well enough, and because they don't care about you enough to want that kind of information from you. I mean realistically, what are they expected to do with the information you've gone out of your way to give?

it's like we're supposed to keep things simple.. but it seems to the point things will never be fully explained.. just forever confused..

Well as the old saying goes; 'keep it simple, stupid.'

For someone who hasn't even heard of the concept between introversion and extraversion, I think the version of 'keep it simple' is simply 'I like a lot of quiet time to myself.' Most people will at least understand and recognise this, and if you have the confidence to follow through with that they'll respect it. That's all most people need to know about you. For girls that you want to get close to though, you'll have to give it to her in stages depending on the level your relationship is at. By the time you're both in the seventies, she should have a very good understanding of who you are; your likes, dislikes, introversion, how you socialise, when, with whom. Even then though, many couples are still at least slightly mysterious to their partner. It's the same for most couple relationships, you just give to each other a bit at a time. Some like to progress quicker than others, so it's finding a balance!

Don't worry about it, man, that guy was just a jackass; don't censor yourself for anyone, if they cannot handle it they should not be on the internet
